My Approach

I have had the fortunate pleasure of working with a variety of age ranges, with people from all walks of life. I currently work with adults aged 18 and above, in person, online, or by telephone. I offer both short-term and long-term counselling, depending on what is most beneficial for your needs.

Often in life, we can end up feeling lost or confused and as though we are not living to our full potential. We can feel unsatisfied, hopeless, and on edge, not knowing which direction to turn to help ourselves feel better. Sometimes we can experience an aching feeling of emptiness inside without understanding how or where it began, where we need someone to help us find the missing pieces of the puzzle to feel whole.

Person-centred Counselling - humanistic

My core practitioner training is person-centred, which means that as a counsellor I work with you in a way that helps you to find a path of freedom and self-discovery. I believe that my approach encourages you to reach a greater understanding of yourself and any issues you are facing. I can support you to find who you truly are and to reconnect with your wants, needs, and values. I believe that you know yourself best and so I work from within your perspective, where you can find your answers and choose resolutions that fit and feel right for you. I believe that this can help you to expand upon your self-belief and develop more trust within your capabilities and decision-making; ultimately improving your self-confidence and boosting your self-esteem.

Attachment-based Psychotherapy - psychodynamic

Attachment-based psychotherapy believes in the importance of safe and secure relationships in early childhood. It proposes that our primary caregivers determine the pattern of how we interpret ourselves, others, and the world around us. As a counsellor, I aim to provide a secure emotional experience to support you in creating a new pathway in life. By incorporating this into my approach, I can help you strengthen your relationship with yourself and others so that you can experience fewer conflicts, improve your emotional regulation and social/communication skills, and reduce feelings of anxiety.
